  • Blah Blah Blah, I don't update enough

Ok, look.  I know I don't update this thing nearly enough, and you're probably expecting some grand entry about how amazing it is to be working at Disney (or "working for the Mouse" as we like to say).  So, if that's what you are expecting, please stop reading this right now because you could be very disappointed because today I'd simply like to share with you two things that are making this day SO HAPPY.  Maybe I'll write about Disney sometime, but I find it hard to write about stuff when there's so much to write that it becomes a looming task.  I feel like no matter how much I write, it will never do justice to how great Disney has been so far, and I'm sure I'd leave out all kinds of cool things I want to share, so I think the topic is better left alone and maybe spoken of in person or via phone.  Call me.  Now on to the happy and exciting things of today:

The first item of business may be the most exciting thing I have ever seen.  As I was shopping at publix today, i happened upon this little gem which I have never noticed in all my shopping there. Of course I had to buy it. See picture below, and please try not to get so excited that you cry or wet your pants or something.  Just kidding... but not really because it really is that cool. I'm uploading a photo for all of your benefit which is quite a statement because with the speed of internet here it is probably going to take ten minutes.  Don't worry, it's worth it.

The next thing that is making me so happy is Tyler's new blog.  Because it is SO GOOD.  And also, he is SUCH A GOOD WRITER.  I just want him to write one billion things for me to read everyday.  :)  I love it.  And also, since he put the link for my blog on his, I feel like I can share his link with you guys as well.  It's called BoxBopSolo, enjoy it!

So yeah, that's all I got right now.  I love you all, and miss you so much!  As Tigger would say "TTFN, or TaTa for now!"

PS- Feel free to leave comments or emails directed at how exciting my new cereal is.  Dont' worry, I'm not over it yet either

  • It's been forever...

...but i just HAD to share that I got a 99 on my Engineering Optimization final!!!!!!! Maybe now that school is not trying to kill me anymore I can give this blog the time and attention I'd love to give it.

    Grade Report:
    Accounting - A
Engineering Optimization - Probably an A
Math (Adv. Linear Algebra) - Probably not an A :( (hoping for B!)
    American Government - A
Intro to Fiber Enterprise - A

sa--weet!! If only I could have rocked the math final like I did for IE :( But you know what, whatever... that class is OVER!

PS - I've also been considering switching to twitter instead of blogging, since my posts are usually short anyway, and then maybe I'd update more since I wouldn't feel guilty only writing short blog entries.

  • *EXCITEMENT*

Ummm... Christian just sent me a pdf of about 500 pages of awesome songs to use at Mass.  It even includes multiple keys in case its too high or low for our voices.  I'm SO EXCITED right now I can barely study.  I can't even wait to play piano with Maxi on Thursday and make him play some of these!!!!!!

    YAY!

  • Who DOES that?!

Today, in my Engineering Optimization class, I sat in the front row.  This was unusual, but I was a few minutes late and there weren't any spots in the second or third row where I usually sit.  ANYWAY, that is not the point.  Also, the end of my notes from the last class only filled up half a page, so I had started taking notes halfway down for today's class.  That is important.  A few minutes after class started, I noticed that the guy next to me kept looking over at me.  Like, every other second.  After I caught him, he said "I was just copying your notes from last class because I wasn't there"

    WHAT?!

Excuse you, but I take very good notes, which I'm proud of.  You probably could have taken advantage of that pride and gotten to look at them by just asking.  But DON'T be a creeper and try to look at my notes if you were just sleeping in instead of going to the last class!!!
    Mad.

  • Internship

One thing is, I've been trying to figure out how to put this news on my blog, but I feel like there's not really a clever or humble way to say "I got a job".  For some reason, it seems like bragging to write a lot about it here, so I'll just give you a few snipits because obviously if you're interested you either already know about it or you'll ask me in person/phone/some venue where I can actually reply   I'll be working for Walt Disney  World's Labor Forecasting and Workload Team as an intern this January through May.  The office is backstage at Hollywood Studios next to Tower of Terror, and the guy I'm working for seems really cool.  Other than that, the offer was really good, and even though it's scary to be away for so long all by myself, I'm pretty excited because Disney has always been a thing I've wanted.

Anyway, yay for that and happy fall break too!

PS- My plans to be "discovered" and then recruited to be Belle still stand.  My passion for Industrial Engineering will never overcome that dream!

  • Complete!

For some reason, I've been such a slacker this week in terms of my homework.  I have a test on Friday, and a project due tomorrow, but I've just been putting things off.  I will need to study for Friday, but it's my IE class, so I feel pretty good.  And most of the project work I'm doing is just summarizing things and then pulling everyone's work together.  I have been productive in one sense though... today I finished my Mickey puzzle that we've been working on!!!  YAY! More soon,

  • This Week: an update

Just to check in... my tests this week are going alright.  I ended up doing really well on my American Government test which was last Thursday, so that's really exciting!  Also, yesterday's Engineering Optimization Quiz I think went really well, too.  But linear algebra got me this morning. yuck.  I'm really trying to not be sad about it, because we get to drop our lowest quiz score, but it's kind of a bummer.  There were five questions, and I think I got four right, but the one I didn't was just stupid.  I was kind of at the tip of my tongue to understand and get it right, but then the professor called time, and instead of finishing my thought process quickly, I just wrote down something stupid.  frustrating.

It was Amanda's birthday yesterday which was SO FUN and exciting! I love birthdays! :)  I got her some flowers and made her a "A" to put on her wall... and also the last part is still a secret! But a really exciting one! :)  She and I are also going to watch Hairspray one night this week, and I'm so excited about it.  I've been singing all the songs in my head all week, and also, it feels like forever since I've gotten to hang out with her.  It's really funny how that happens when you live with someone.

AND also in exciting news: We (mostly David and Amanda) finished the Mickey part of my puzzle, which means we've only got the blue background left to figure out! We're getting so close!! :D  YAY!

And lastly, last night I got to hang out with Timmy and T and Zack and Sam and it had been WAY too long.  I love those guys. :) Yay for high school friend reunions and them still loving me!

    More soon!

  • Irrational Wants

There is a new American Girl Doll (or maybe it's not new... I've been out of the loop for a while) called Emily.  And she is SO CUTE.  And I really want this doll.  This isn't even something that I just thoght of... I went into the American Girl Store almost two months ago, and have been thinking about is since then!  Can't explain why I need this overpriced doll... but for some reason, I just really really want it.  It's probably one of those things you really want until you get it, and then you don't want it.  I'm doomed.  But seriously, is this doll not the CUTEST thing?!
